  • COVID-19 Testing Requirements Vaccinated or Recovered Travelers

    • Travelers entering Indonesia must present the following entry requirements:
    - A medical certificate confirming a negative COVID19 PCR test 72 hours prior to departure, conducted by the local health authorities in the country of departure;
    - Vaccination certificate (in English) confirming completion of required doses at least within the last 14 days before departure. This entry requirement is waived for travelers under the age of 18 years old; and
    - A COVID-19 PCR test upon arrival. Non-vaccinated Travelers

    • There are no testing requirements for non-vaccinated travelers over 18 years old since they cannot enter the country at this time.

    • Travelers entering Indonesia must present the following entry requirements:
    - A medical certificate confirming a negative COVID19 PCR test 72 hours prior to departure, conducted by the local health authorities in the country of departure; and
    - A COVID-19 PCR test upon arrival. Quarantine Requirements

    • 7-day quarantine at a government-designated hotel for all eligible entrants and additional COVID-19 PCR test on the 6th day of quarantine. Upon receiving a negative result of the second PCR test and completion of the quarantine period, travelers are released and are advised to complete a 14-day self-quarantine.

    • Specific quarantine and health screening procedures upon arrival vary depending on the port of entry and are likely to change as the authorities provide further clarifications. Please contact your Fragomen consultant for individualized guidance.

    • There are no quarantine requirements for non-vaccinated travelers over 18 years old since they cannot enter the country at this time.


  • • The Ministry of Manpower (MOM) is accepting work permit applications that are supported by a recommendation letter from the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Investment, the Indonesia Investment Coordinating Board, or other related government agency.

    • The Directorate General of Immigration (DGI) is open for visa applications.

    • Work permit renewal applications are still being processed during this period.

    • Foreign nationals residing in Indonesia with a valid ITAS/ITAP/MERP may submit renewal applications at the local immigration office in line with standard procedures. Travel Restrictions Vaccinated or Recovered Travelers

    • Travelers over 18 years old must have completed the full vaccination regimen for at least 14 days to enter Indonesia.

    • Entry is allowed for foreign nationals who hold a valid visa or stay permit. These include:

    - Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Business Travel Card holders and Traditional Border Crossing pass/card holders. Non-vaccinated Travelers

    • Entry ban for non-vaccinated travelers over 18 years old.

    - Visitor Visa;

  • • Arranging viewing appointments may be a challenge due to limited landlords and agents agreeing to meet and provide access to the property.

    • Handover arrangements are delayed or postponed to a later timing.

    • Due to skeletal workforce, there are delays in utility application approvals.

    • Apartment compounds are limiting the number of house viewings and some compounds will actually do a lockdown by not allowing visitor entry.
